Stop the Stigma: Mental Health in Black Communities

Stigma and shame often prevent individuals from seeking treatment for mental health issues. Join Karinn Glover, MD, MPH, Patricia Jordan, PhD and Khyra Jones, CSW for a virtual conversation addressing attitudes surrounding mental health issues as experienced by many in Black communities. They will discuss how to recognize when treatment is indicated and identify resources available to treat mental illness.

This event is being presented by American Women of African Heritage, Inc., whose mission is the empowerment of women and girls of African ancestry, and the enrichment of their lives and the lives of others within the community of Westchester County in New York.
