Through relationships with direct reports and influencing organizational culture, managers play a critical role in creating an emotionally supportive workplace. Most employees seek out their managers first if they are experiencing mental health challenges, yet few managers are prepared to have these conversations.
This training from Thrive in Your Workplace and The Mayor’s Office of ThriveNYC will offer managers guidance on how to address mental health in the workplace, define do’s and don’ts, and offer scenario-based strategies to support employees.
By the end of the training, participants will:
- Gain an understanding of mental health and common mental health challenges
- Understand the value and effectiveness of mental health support
- Develop skills to support your and your staff’s emotional wellbeing
Participants will have the opportunity to join the discussion via a Q&A session at the close of the training.
