SURE for Mental Health - Managing your Mind: Anxiety

About this session

Everyone can feel anxiety at some time in their lives. This may be triggered by everyday events such as going for an interview or sitting an exam or it may be as a result of experiencing a time of challenge, such as our current situation in respect of the pandemic. It may also be something experienced as the result of trauma or as an ongoing mental health issue. Whatever the cause, anxiety is something that, if we understand it more, we can start to help to address.

This webinar explores the causes of anxiety, the effects it has on our mind and bodies and goes on to explore the effects of negative thinking on our anxieties and finally to consider techniques that can help us to more effectively manage the effects of anxiety.
