Mindfulness Mini-Retreat

Tune into this Two Chairs mindfulness mini-retreat to learn how a regular mindfulness practice can build awareness and stabilize your mood.

Are you curious about mindfulness, and not sure where to begin? Or, maybe you’re an avid practitioner who would like to deepen your understanding around the clinical benefits of mindfulness, and perhaps learn new techniques.

All are welcome to tune into this Two Chairs evening workshop to learn how a regular mindfulness practice can build awareness, stabilize your mood, and inspire calm in your day-to-day.

Baaba Hawthorne, LMFT, clinical director at Two Chairs Los Angeles, and Payton Somers, LPCC, clinician at Two Chairs San Francisco, will lead us through several guided mindfulness exercises that you can add to your mental wellness toolkit, and talk us through what’s happening in our minds and bodies when we practice.

Preparing for the event

  • Share the calm: Invite a friend to tune in
  • Set up your space to optimize for comfort: A warm cup of tea, blankets, pillows, and dimmed lights are all encouraged
  • Compile some mindful tools: Essential oils, candles, and a journal for reflecting before or after the event are all great options
