Mental Health Technology: Overcoming Barriers to Connection

Today, we’re facing an unprecedented challenge as we navigate the changes COVID-19 has placed on our everyday routines and health. As many people are coping with significant disruption and increasing uncertainty about their health and financial security, stress and anxiety levels are rising. Fear and anxiety about a disease can be overwhelming and cause strong emotions in adults and children. How someone responds to the outbreak will depend on their background, the things that make them different from other people, and the community they live in.

Unfortunately, there isn’t one simple solution to create human connection, but this webinar will discuss digital resources available to help alleviate stress, practice self-care, and receive essential family assistance.

Speakers:

Dr. Ceth Ashen, Chief Operating Officer, Gateways Hospital and Mental Health Center & President, C. Ashen Consulting

Dr. Thomas Parham “Dr. P,” Ph.D., President, California State University Dominguez Hills

Dr. Imani Walker, Chief Medical Officer of Gateways Hospital and Mental Health Center, Star of Bravo’s Married to Medicine LA, and Medical Advisor to Made of Millions

Moderator: Rebecca Friedman, Founder & President, Koru Strategies

This discussion is being hosted by the Healthcare Technology Consortium.
