Managing Your Anxiety During Uncertain Times

Our world is changing rapidly and it's normal to feel anxious and fearful during this uncertain time. However, research shows that denying your anxious emotions will actually make your experience of them worse.

In this 50-min class, Anna Malles, LCSW-A, will teach you how to understand and manage your anxiety by exploring the actual biology of anxiety, your personal experience of it mentally and physically, and how certain thinking traps may be driving and maintaining it. You will also gain practical strategies and skills that will relieve anxiety and bring peace to your day-to-day.

By the end of this workshop, you’ll be able to leave with a better understanding of your personal experience of anxiety and a toolbox of techniques for how to manage it and restore calm to your body and mind. There will be time allotted to practice these skills, ask questions, and receive answers.

Individuals who are not appropriate for this course*:

  • Severe distress or acute trauma
  • Experiencing serious emotional or mental health problems

*Should the presence of these situations be discovered during the class, a referral will be made for individual therapy.
