As employers move from addressing the immediate challenges brought about by the pandemic, they are beginning to think critically about the role and purpose of performance management during the current crisis. Join Thrive in Your Workplace and the Mayor's Office of ThriveNYC for this training, which will equip employers with the skills to manage performance while providing support and compassion for employees.

The first part of this training provides a general overview of strong performance management systems and the importance of creating a system that is fair and holds people accountable while balancing these concerns with empathy. It includes an overview of best practices for performance management, and tips for creating a positive culture that promotes learning.

The second part of the training delves into managing performance for employees who may be experiencing mental health challenges, and provides specific guidance about how to have conversations about performance, co-develop solutions, document results, and identify next steps.

The training will conclude with some role-playing scenarios and time for Q&A.
